Please read these terms carefully before booking a session. By proceeding with any service at our studio, you agree to the conditions outlined below.
1. Age Requirement
All tattooing and piercing services are available exclusively to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Valid government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, or driving licence) must be presented prior to any service. Clients who cannot provide valid proof of age will be refused service without exception. We do not perform services on minors under any circumstances, including with parental consent.
2. Health & Medical Disclosure
It is the client's sole responsibility to disclose any and all medical conditions, allergies, medications, or health concerns that may affect the safety of tattooing or piercing procedures. Conditions including but not limited to diabetes, blood disorders, skin conditions, immunodeficiency, pregnancy, epilepsy, or use of blood thinners must be disclosed before the session begins.
Ink Stories Tattoos reserves the right to decline service to any client whose health condition, in the artist's professional judgement, poses an unacceptable risk to the client or staff.
3. Informed Consent & Liability
By proceeding with any service at Ink Stories Tattoos, the client acknowledges that tattooing and piercing are invasive procedures that carry inherent risks including, but not limited to, infection, allergic reaction, scarring, and prolonged healing. The client confirms they are willingly consenting to the procedure with full knowledge of these risks.
Ink Stories Tattoos and its artists shall not be held liable for any adverse reactions, complications, or dissatisfaction arising from failure to follow aftercare instructions, pre-existing medical conditions not disclosed prior to service, or natural variations in how the body heals.
4. Appointments & Cancellations
Appointments must be booked in advance via WhatsApp or Instagram DM. A non-refundable booking deposit may be required to confirm your appointment slot. This deposit is deducted from the final session cost.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of the booking deposit. Clients who fail to appear without notice (no-show) will forfeit the full deposit and may be required to pay an additional deposit to rebook.
Rescheduling requests made at least 48 hours in advance will be accommodated without penalty, subject to availability.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices quoted are estimates based on design complexity, placement, and session duration. Final pricing is confirmed by the artist before the session begins. Prices are subject to change without prior notice for new bookings.
Payment is accepted in cash or UPI at the time of service. No refunds will be issued once a tattoo or piercing session has commenced. Touch-up sessions for healed tattoos may be offered at the artist's discretion and are not guaranteed to be free of charge.
6. Design Approval & Custom Work
Custom tattoo designs are created by our artist based on client consultation. Design previews are shared prior to the session for approval. Significant design changes requested on the day of the appointment may require rescheduling and an additional design fee.
Once a tattoo has been applied to the skin, the client accepts full responsibility for the approved design. Minor adjustments during application are at the artist's discretion.
7. Aftercare Responsibility
Aftercare instructions will be provided verbally and/or in written form at the end of every session. The client is solely responsible for following these instructions. Ink Stories Tattoos accepts no responsibility for damage caused by improper aftercare, including infection, colour loss, or scarring.
Free touch-ups (where offered) are conditional on the client following proper aftercare. Touch-ups will not be provided for damage caused by neglect, sun exposure, or submerging the tattoo in water during the healing period.
8. Photography & Portfolio Rights
Ink Stories Tattoos reserves the right to photograph completed work for use in our portfolio, social media, and promotional materials. Images will not include the client's face or identifying information without explicit written consent.
If you do not wish your tattoo or piercing to be photographed, please inform us before the session. We respect your privacy and will honour all such requests.
9. Hygiene & Safety Standards
Ink Stories Tattoos strictly adheres to professional hygiene and safety standards. All needles and cartridges are single-use and disposed of in sharps containers after each session. All equipment is sterilised using industry-standard methods. Implant-grade titanium jewellery is used for all piercing procedures.
Clients are expected to arrive clean and in good health. Clients under the influence of alcohol or any substance will not be served and will forfeit any deposit paid.
10. Right to Refuse Service
Ink Stories Tattoos reserves the unconditional right to refuse or discontinue service to any client at any time. Grounds may include, but are not limited to: intoxication, aggressive or disrespectful behaviour towards staff, undisclosed medical conditions that pose a risk, requests for offensive or harmful imagery, or any situation that the artist reasonably deems unsafe.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from services provided by Ink Stories Tattoos shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
