Session length depends on design size and complexity. A small piece (palm-sized) typically takes 1–2 hours. A half sleeve can take 4–6 hours across multiple sessions. During your consultation, Gaurav will give you a realistic time estimate specific to your design.

Pain level varies per person and placement. Bony areas like ribs, spine, knees and ankles tend to hurt more. Fleshy areas like the outer arm, thigh and calf are usually more tolerable. Most clients describe it as a scratching or burning sensation. Gaurav works at a steady pace and takes breaks as needed to keep you comfortable.

Eat a full meal 2–3 hours before your session — low blood sugar makes pain worse. Stay well hydrated. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand as it thins your blood. Wear or bring loose clothing that provides easy access to the tattoo area. Get a good night's sleep the night before.

All fresh piercings are done exclusively with implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136) or implant-grade surgical steel jewellery. These materials are hypoallergenic and recommended by professional piercing associations for initial piercings. We do not use mystery metal, acrylic, or plated jewellery on fresh piercings.

Healing varies by location. Ear lobes: 6–8 weeks. Cartilage piercings (helix, tragus, daith): 6–12 months. Nostril: 4–6 months. Septum: 6–8 months. Navel: up to 12 months. During this time, clean with a sterile saline solution twice daily and avoid touching, twisting or changing the jewellery.

In many cases, yes — tattoos can be placed over or around scars and healed piercing holes. However, scar tissue behaves differently from normal skin and may require extra care during the tattooing process or additional touch-ups. Gaurav will assess the area during consultation and advise you on the best approach for your specific situation.
